The Bright Years by Sarah Damoff

4.5

Wow… this book. It’s absolutely heartbreaking and sad, but also incredibly beautiful. I’d honestly recommend skipping the synopsis and going in blind - but definitely check the TW’s first.

At first, I wasn’t really feeling it, even though it was a quick read as I wasn’t connecting with the characters. But then we hit a certain part… and oh my….

I cried a lot in this book. It really hit me on a personal level, which might be why it affected me so deeply.

I also love buddy reading with my friends, and this one was no exception. What made it even more fun was that we all had totally different takes on the story. I love when that happens and when it gives me all the feels 😃
