Sightwitch

I definitely don't think this book is as good as Truthwitch or Windwitch but that could heavily have been influenced by only having a part of the book.
I am not totally sure if the beginning of the excerpt is the actual beginning of the book but I found myself kind of confused and looking for context or information about nearly everything for most of the 120 pages..
Arguably my favourite part of the first two books in this series is the relationships and that was just honestly absent from this book. Instead it was replaced with this odd POV/time switching perspectives that honestly did not in anyway do anything for the story other than make it choppy. Chapters weren't particularly long so everytime something started to happen there was a cut off and you got brought back to something else that really didn't have anything to do with what was going on in the other timeline.
Based on the layout of the eARC...I'm a little underwhelmed with the quantity of illustrations that appear to be getting slotted in for the final copy. There's large chunks without anything when I was hoping/thinking it would be a little more consistent like Language of Thorns by L Bardugo.
I'm also desperately hoping the rest of the book actually includes some magic because there was VERY little of that in this excerpt.
On the positive side, the ending really picked up and got me excited to get a final copy.
