The Guardians are split up by different fractions grabbing them all due to Starlord's wondeful father.

Oh and Flash Thompsons Venom joins the gang for a bit.

Overall having the guardians separated really doesn't help this series. The best moments are them together, so having their own missions and failures, and trying to survive is just okay. None of it feels scary because we know they'll all make it out.

I will say the moments with Gamora and Angela are wonderful, as are Rocket scared of being experimented on again, and Captain Marvel has some really fun moments too. Overall, it's a decent adventure but probably weakest storyline so far.
