I found this book to be absolutely brilliant. I picked it up while I was at work last week and found the cover and blurb to be so captivating I just had to have it! Thanks to the borrowing system at my work (thank you Borders Books) I was able to borrow the book out and read it! It took me longer then usual but that is only because I have been so busy as of late. Every spare moment I got I devoured this brilliant book.

Cassia lives in a world that reminded me a lot of George Orwell's 1984. Its controlled by the government in a sense, every thought, movement and action is done FOR the community. People are told what to eat, wear and who they marry. they are even told WHEN they will die. It's a world in which free thought and questioning are banned.

I found Cassia to be a very string and brave character. She was defiant and it didn't take her long to figure it all out once she opened her eyes.

The book is full of twist and turns, but not enough to make you tired of the whole thing. With just the right amount of Trill and romance the book was a BRILLIANT read! I have been ranting about it to everyone at work and have been able to fell 10 of the 12 copies we received in store by my word of mouth reviews. It really was a terrific read!

I seriously recommend it guys!! (and I wish I wrote better reviews to give this book justice)
