I didn't realize this was going to be more than one book so the ending left me surprised but I enjoyed this twist on Cinderella. Prince Charming was witty and well, charming; the evil stepmother is toxic and abusive; and Elya, "Cinderella," is kind despite her dark upbringing. I'm very curious about book 2!
