Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson
3.0

I feel like I gained some knowledge from this. I do think however this is a book of Astrophysics for People Already Into Astrophysics and Who Want to Listen to a Long Love Letter to it in a Hurry.

Not a bad book, and made better by Tyson's reading the audiobook himself. I just feel like Tyson really didn't know what the point of this book was or who his audience would be. The title made it sound like it would be a brief introduction to astrophysics. Instead, it was more of a meandering story/info dump about some of the things in astrophysics/cosmology that Tyson loves. He clearly put a lot of heart into this work. It just wouldn't have been of any interest if I hadn't already known something about his work. It was sort of strange and confusing even with knowing something already about astrophysics. Could have used the whole thing being allowed to be longer, to get more info in, or overall being simplified.
