This book took me over a week to read, and considering I read all of the previous books in 2 days max, it tells you everything. 
I was so frustrated with the side characters. I'm 5 books into the series at this point and they still have no development and keep having the same lines over and over again. Also, a gripe I had with a certain plot point in the book:

the main lead gets injured at some point and miraculously recovers 1 chapter later. There was no explanation or research as to why that happened, the rest of the characters received it as if it was expected all along. So I don't understand why there was so much tension built up on if something was to happen to him, if there was not gonna be any push back later on

I was super frustrated with this book and had to force myself to finish. I will give this series one more try and read the next book after a couple of months, since bingeing this kind of a formulaic storyline might be contributing to my issues.
