The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
by Suzanne Collins
I am so behind the times on this one, I’m aware but I was waiting for the paperback and then I just never got around to it? 😂
I wasn’t sure what to expect but this was such a good villain origin story.
You really get into Snow’s head and can understand how he sees what he’s doing as right and just, even if it’s completely misguided.
I loved seeing what the games used to look like and how Snow influenced what the games went on to look like.
We can all agree that Lucy Gray deserved BETTER! Snow was only interested in how the optics benefited himself and what he could squeeze out of all of his relationships. The only people he didn’t have this transactional relationship with seemed to be Tigris and Grandma’am but even then…
Anyway, now I’ve finally read it, I can go and watch it! So we’ll see how much I enjoy the film
