Funeral Girl
by Emma K. Ohland
mysterious
slow-paced
This was an interesting look into grief and I liked that it was shown through a high schooler, Georgia, who lives in her family's funeral home and who can touch a dead person to bring them to life for one last time. She asks if they need help with a final request. It started when her Grandma died.
I liked that this book showed how different people grieve. I did find it sad that when Milo, a fellow high schooler dies, that so many people acted like they were good friends with him and knew everything about him. When in actiality, no one really knew him. But I liked that Georgia finally fessed up to that lie and applaud her for getting to know Milo after death.
