How I loved Felix from the very beginning. His snark, sarcasm and witty banter had me laughing out loud and Max was more then happy to bounce off all that dialogue. Felix also has a vulnerability about him that just grabs you and doesn’t let go. The chemistry between these two is absolutely scorching and at the high heat level with lots of steamy moments. Unfortunately it burns all too hot and you’re left knowing that the brightness is about to be extinguished and you’ll experience every bit of the heartbreak - whilst possibly despising Max.
But as with all well crafted plots that included wonderful character development, there’s many layers to Max that are revealed in Part 2 and I eventually just wanted to give him big squishy hugs.
The journey to their romantic HEA includes many bumps along the way but slowly trust is restored, as was their love for each other and my sore heart.
Characters from the two previous books are included and a couple have important roles to play in this throughly engaging, beautiful second chance romance that is full of humour and lots of feels.
