shannonreese 's review for:
Queen of Myth and Monsters
by Scarlett St. Clair
I would like to start this review stating that although I love everything Scarlett has published, of all things the authors note made me love her as a person even more! She put into words how I have been feeling as a woman in a world where it is hard to find magic, but now I feel she has made it easier for me to see the magic.
Onto the review for this book!! I love the story and how we learned a lot about some other characters without feeling overwhelmed or the plot being sidetracked by backstories. The only thing I wish is that some of the past recollections had been italicized just for ease of knowing when I was from where I was. :)
•PLOT: 5/5
•SPICE: 5/5 (plot and spice were perfection in balance for my personal taste.)
•EASE OF READING: 4.8/5 (as I said sometimes I got lost if I was in the past or present but it was easy enough to figure out after a second.)
