Midnight Sun
by Stephenie Meyer
I'm one of the Twihards that was so disappointed when Ms. Meyer got betrayed and stepped away from Midnight Sun all those years ago. I understood and my heart broke for her, but I was also dying to read Edward's POV, so I was beyond thrilled to find out that she'd finished it for us after all. Thank you, Stephenie, thank you so very much!
I found myself very easily fully immersed back into the world that I fell in love with back when Twilight came out. It was so interesting to read Edward's side of things. Especially his inner conversations with his family. I also loved seeing how he could see what Alice would see. The story came alive for me once again in a whole new way. I found the way Charlie and Rene's thoughts sounded to Edward very intriguing, much like Edward himself. And hearing the innocence of Jacob's thoughts was adorable.
I'd be lying if I said that this was enough. I'm greedy, I want the rest of the story from Edward's side! But, I am so incredibly grateful that the author has chosen to at least give us this much. She did not owe us anything, and I appreciate her!
