mkjacobswrites 's review for:
Faro's Daughter
by Georgette Heyer
This felt very similar to the last Heyer novel I read: an essentially unbelievable plot (kidnapping, really?) with a nicely immersive Regency setting and a too-convenient ending. I thought the emphasis on gaming and betting elements was overbalanced so some character development suffered. The atmosphere was my favorite part.
