This is the second lesbian SFF romance featuring tentacles that I've read, but hopefully it won't be the last.

I bought this novella expecting it to be fun and pretty silly, and while it was both, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the witty dialogue/narration and how much I liked and related to the characters. I only wish that this were a longer book, so that I could have gotten to know Sian and Trillin more, watched their relationship develop more slowly, and explore the fascinating subterranean magical school that we see only small hints of. But... I suppose that's what the sequel is for!

This is cute and low/no-spice, more monster fucker (aspiring) than monster fucker (practicing), so adjust your expectations if you prefer steamier reads.
