The Downside of Love
by Meghan Quinn
*4 Stars*
After the ending of the first book, I figured I needed to pick this one up and least see where it would go. I enjoyed this so much more. I really did not expect to love Stryder the way I did, and I really liked how everything developed in this one. It felt like it was much more natural and in general everything about it just appealed a lot more to me. I felt more for the characters. I loathed Stryder's father (I'm still clenching my teeth thinking about that jerk) and I found the moments in this book much better than the first. I really enjoyed this, and am glad I gave it a go after not really being all that into book 1. It also left a great opening for the next duet, which I will be going to at some point to see how things turn out.
