The Five-Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand
4.5

Mini Audiobook Review - How perfect! I listened to my first Elin book while away at a beachtown with my friends!

I wasn't sure what to expect from one of her books. I hadn't done any research of her work or read anything about her so I was going in completely blind. Does she write romance? Does she write fiction? Is it more woman's fiction? I would say it is definitely the latter.

In this book in particular it was more about Hollis grieving her husband's death while reconnecting with friends from different times in her life.  I thought the concept of The Five Star Weekend was such a great concept! Planning a night out is stressful but to plan something as extravagant as this sounds super stressful. But I will say the descriptions that Hilderbrand describe the food that Hollis cooked sounded divine!

I love that we not only got to know Hollis but also those who were invited to the Five Star Weekend. Even though this took place over a weekend, each women learned so much about themself.  Each one had their own little storyline that we got to see play out throughout the book.

I really enjoyed this & looking forward to reading others from her!
