I was super hesitant to pick this book up with it being a billionaire romance, but I’m so glad I did.

Sometimes characters striving to reach high career goals like CEO can be for superficial agendas like power and money, but both latiné love interests had such sweet hearts and reasons for their ambitions. While the billionaire male main character has excess wealth, we don’t see it as a personality trait like in some billionaire romances; I sometimes forgot the magnitude of his wealth until there was a charitable giving mentioned or on the occasional use on the woman love interest, but in the least showy way possible.

The love the characters felt for each other was so clear in the way they tried not to step over the other’s dreams. 

The author clearly put a lot of love and care to make sure this is as inclusive of a book as it can be. As a trans disabled person, I love the attention to detail of highlighting how accessibility needs to be a feature, not an afterthought. All of the language in this book is so gender inclusive, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a romance book — especially one not centered on a queer couple — this intentional.

I loved the overall message that work isn’t the only important thing in life, as that is something I’ve had to learn over time myself.
