The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand
4.0

I always love to read books that involve twins. I am fascinated by the relationship between the two, especially if they are identical. This book did not disappoint at all. I fully enjoyed taking a "break" to the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard to meet Tabitha and Harper Frost, identical twins who chose to live separately, one on each island, for the majority of their lives. Both approaching their 40th birthday, the twins could not be more opposite in backgrounds and personality. Tabitha has never been married but has one daughter, Ainsley and one son, Julien, who passed away as an infant. Harper has never been married either but with no children. Harper has become the scandal of her island due to her involvement in an unexpected illegal drug bust and her affair with the married doctor of her father. The death of their father, Billy Frost along with the injury of their mother has caused the women to reunite together. Harper and Tabitha trade places on their respective islands giving the opportunities to figure out who they are as individuals as well as twins.

I fully enjoyed reading this book. It was interesting from the beginning to the end. It was a light and quick read. I definitely look forward to reading more by this author. I like the fact that the author is also a twin, but fraternal instead of identical.
