!!! SPOILERS AHEAD !!!
I. Hate. Amnesia.
Now. Did this book have a bit more reason behind it than other books? Yes. Does it still feel like a contrived way to add drama in the last 10%? Absolutely.
Despite me completely hating that one trope, this book was pretty good. I think that the relationship at certain points did feel a bit rushed and lacking foundation, but let’s be honest, the biggest point is to be entertained, which I was!
I think that this book did have less whimsy than Phantasma, and I wish that we got to dig a bit deeper into the wider world, instead of just the Silver family. I do think that is something that is getting foreshadowed in book 3, so who knows, my curiosity might be taken care of soon.
