overall, an enjoyable read. i don't want to compare it to the flatshare too much, since they're so different, but i think that the flatshare was a little more developed and clearly paced, whereas the switch felt a little stagnant in the middle. however, i think the storytelling was still very well done, the main characters were extremely lovable and the arc was very rewarding at the end. the emphasis on family over romance was a nice change (although the romance was nice, however minimal) and i would say that for a book that had to follow the flatshare (which is now on my favorite books of all time list) it did really well.
