It was fascinating to have laid out how the Loyalists influenced The Bahamas in all aspects of life. Saunders formats Bahamian Loyalists and Their Slaves in such a way that reading it is not dull and boring. It is a pretty short book so there is not a whole lot of content to contend with, but what is there is eye-opening. The sections of the book are split into economics, politics, culture and society. One can catch a glimpse into the life of Bahamian slaves and how they were treated, how different islands' culture shifted and how the Loyalists helped to set up The Bahamas on the path it is on today. Gail Saunders inspires me.
