Anyone who knows me knows I’m ride or die for Little Women and happily devour any and all adaptations that get made. This is, by far, the best one I’ve had the pleasure of finding.

Although it starts after Beth has died, her inclusion to the story through bits of verse sprinkled between her sister’s chapters was both heartbreaking and lovely.

Jo being a queer woman exploring her feelings was delightful to read as someone who has long read Jo as being a lesbian despite how the original text pairs her with Bhaer.

I’ve never been exceptionally drawn to Meg as a character but she was written in a way that actually made me interested.

And last, but certainly not least, Amy! I love Amy March with my whole heart and many adaptations don’t necessarily treat her with kindness. This did, and went above and beyond my expectations for her romance with Laurie.

I would like to have more of them - all of them. I didn’t want their stories to end.
