Shattered Glass
by Dani Alexander
“I like you,” I said honestly. “Even though you’re probably a criminal and are going to get me thrown off the force. And you kicked me. Broke my nose. Made me gay and refused to kiss me.”
this book was very Aware, I felt. there's a very grounded way in which Dani Alexander writes character dynamics and emotional descriptions, in a way that felt so very natural and truthful, I was so emotional and pleasantly surprised in so many bits, it was an absolutely delightful read.
I've actually been putting off reading this book for ages now, because I had hope to only start it once I knew the second instalment in the series had finally come out, lol.
seriously, this is soo well-written??? I don't want to describe the book too much because I don't want to spoil it to anyone, seriously, just red this.
some bits felt slightly stretched out and I had to power through my suspension of disbelief, but I loved the characters' development and casual rep so much that it hardly mattered when put into perspective to what was very much damn good writing.
