Holy cow this book was good!
My mom told me to read this book well over a year ago. I told her I would but kinda put it off because I looked at the cover and it didn't really appeal to me. Then I heard it was going to be an HBO series and I knew I'd have to start reading it ... man I really wish I would have read it earlier!
I absolutely loved this book! Moriarty has such a unique method of storytelling and it was so enthralling! You keep getting hints at what has happened but the whole book takes place during the months leading up to the tragedy. But you know something tragic happens from the beginning! It was so infuriating but in a good way? It made me want to keep reading! And the characters really make the story. Madeline was my favorite, usually her type of character would bother me but she was the best in my opinion. Jame was a really good character too ... Celeste I had a hard time with. But like I said, everything about the characters just worked with the story. It was all so good!
I can't wait to read another one of her books now!
