I might be obsessed with this series now…. If you liked Arsenic and Adobo or Dial A For Aunties even a little, this is for you. Based on the summary of the book, I had expected it to be almost exactly the same as Arsenic and Adobo. While it has the same general vibe (cozy mystery based around a girl whose family owns a local restaurant; customer dies while eating their food), it was SO MUCH MORE!

I loved the community of all the store owners and the ties they all have to each other. I wasn’t too surprised by who did it, but absolutely didn’t see the why or how coming! Sometimes I feel like cozy mysteries can be a little predictable, but this one wasn’t that way for me.

Off to go check out the rest of the series from my local library!
