Super Sons #5 by Peter J. Tomasi, Jorge Jimenez, Alejandro Sánchez

adventurous fast-paced

Jon and Damian are both grounded by their fathers and it's quite entertaining to see how different their forms of punishment are because of their vastly different life styles. Jon isn't allowed to use his powers to do chores while Damian can't go out on patrol with Batman. Jon is told by his parents that they'll be moving to Metropolis and he doesn't take the news well. I don't blame the kid for not taking the news well. He's a 10 year old boy who Clark and Lois are trying to raise in a normal environment when he doesn't feel like he fits in anywhere. The only time he feels like he belongs is when he's allowed to use his powers. However, he is being punished for doing just that and now feels like his world is being flipped upside down. He ends up bumping into Damian and going to the Batcave. Of course they begin to argue and actually physically fight. I like the parallels that are drawn between their soon to be friendship and the relationship between. Alfred finds them first and is able to calm them down. Then, both Batman and Superman eventually find them and explain these parallels to them. Batman and Superman have an entertaining and light hearted back and forth banter, which I really liked. Jon is able to reconcile with Clark about the move to Metropolis so this was a nice happy ending this issue. I'm looking forward to the rest of this run.
