The Storm King
by Sheila Masterson
I needed to take a couple days to collect myself and my thoughts about this book. It’s without a doubt my favorite of the series so far and I can’t stop thinking about it.
I’m going to give this review my all but just know there aren’t enough words to describe how much I really enjoyed this one.
This book is very heavily focused on my boy Xander and his journey around stepping up and becoming the king that his kingdom needs. It’s about his healing journey, the mistakes he makes along the way, facing some hard truths, and making difficult decisions on how he is going to move forward.
I really loved how the author shows how much trauma and experiences can really change a person. The way she writes the before and after of multiple characters so flawlessly was really amazing. This is another one of those aspects that you can kind of insert yourself or loved ones into and understand that it’s okay when life experiences change who you are or how you interact.
This book made me laugh, cry, gasp, stress, and some scenes literally had my jaw crashing onto the floor and had me screaming. (Samson i’m fckn looking at you
