I had gone in to reading this having watched the film The Meg in theaters in 2018 and it had intrigued me enough to read the book. It still took me a bit of time to acquire this book because I couldn’t decide if i wanted to read it or not, but it was worth the wait. It's a pretty solid read, very tense. I enjoyed the plot and characters. The pacing of the book felt consistent and steady despite its medium to fast paced vibe. I enjoyed the good read outside of my usual types of books and I'm glad I decided to take a stab at something I usually don't read but prefer to see on the big screen.
