Silverborn: The Mystery of Morrigan Crow
by Jessica Townsend
It's so good to be back in the world of Nevermoor. I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in Silverborn and binged it every free moment I had.
Overall this was a good addition to the series, albeit one a little different to previous books as it is a murder mystery. I thought the mystery plotline was handled well and enjoyed the final reveal.
As always with Nevermoor, (found) family is a huge theme of the book. One rare criticism I have of the book is that one family related element of the book (which I won't reveal as it's a spoiler) is something I've seen too many times in fiction, and as a result saw coming from early on. I found myself hoping that I was wrong just because I'm a little tired of reading that particular plotline. Still, there are plenty of brilliant family moments in Silverborn, involving both existing and new characters.
Overall I had a great time and I'll definitely be here whenever book five gets released.
