I had to do a reread after rewatching season 2 of Bridgerton. I can’t deny that overall, show Kathony > book Kathony, however, I love several things that the book did in comparison to the show. I love that the book didn’t pit Edwina and Kate against each other and it was very clear on the type of person Edwina wanted to marry. I love that the book dives into Anthony’s mortality and his fear of dying/outliving his father. I love that there was so much more of Kate’s backstory. I feel like the show missed the mark in regards to the interpersonal relationships but did make Anthony a more likable character and less coercive overall.
