Black Clover, Vol. 12
by Yûki Tabata
12 Volumes deep and Black Clover never really surpasses "Pretty good" but it never dips into "Terrible" and so since I can read unlimited amount of manga on Shonen Jump this is a easy one to sit through.
This volume is mostly a chill relaxing volume. Everyone gets to hang out, go to festival, even go on a few dates. There's a few funny moments, cute, and so on. The ending transports the heroes to a new land where they must survive and while it's a decent start it does feel like we're repeating the same story structure. The characters being half entertaining is what is keeping me from dropping the series. Average fun shonen jump is basically Black Clover, and that's okay.
A 3 out of 5.
