Immediately disliked the writing style. Younger tone than I personally prefer. I also have no interest in surfing, and the protagonist is a hardcore surfer. I feel like this is not going to be the book for me. 

I’m also falling out of love with ya contemporary lately, so I might just be in the wrong mood  🤷🏼‍♀️
