This is one of my favourite reads of the year so far and probably one of my new favourite books of all time. The voice and style and tone of the writing were so solid, I felt like I was hearing and experiencing a campfire story all at once. The amount of lore and story revealed in such a small setting and time-period was impressive and immersive. Loved it!

Also I just love a pumpkin-headed boy.
