Mycroft Holmes is a fun, fast-paced reinvention of the "uptight" Holmes brother that reveals him to be anything but! With skills of deduction that rival Sherlock's, Mycroft spends this book unraveling a mystery in Trinidad. I enjoyed reading about a Holmes brother who was maybe a bit more...empathetic (??) than Sherlock, and I really appreciate the effort taken by the authors to present diverse characters in a Victorian world.
The presentation of clues could be a bit confusing, and I got frustrated when the initial mystery was pushed to the side (all the loose ends get tied up, though). The authors write well, and the pacing was perfect to keep me turning pages.
