I don't have the words to articulate the impact that this book had. I have read about inequality in the criminal justice system before, but the way that this book was written - details from personal experience, punctuated by legal facts in a narrative - was so powerful. I would recommend this book to absolutely anyone. Even if you don't know much about racial justice or prisons - this is a great starting point.
