First ever adult fantasy book and it did not disappoint. The worldbuilding was expansive and immaculate, each place described so differently and lyrically. The characters also seemed carved to life, each so different; I liked how they didn't and don't become an instant found family, but you can tell something binds them all together, apart from saving the world. My particular faves were Andry and Corayne, although Dom was a despairing favourite. There were so many scenes that had me furiously turning the pages with a bated breath, and also laughing out loud at times. One of my favourite reading experiences of the year.
