This book has a cute way of telling the creation story from Genesis, but the structure of the book, the illustrations, and the poetry all have problems.

The punctuation is all over the place, so that I can't tell where one sentence begins and another one ends. It makes it difficult to read. There are also some poetry problems, since the meter doesn't match in each stanza, making it feel disjointed.

I'm not too sure about some of the doctrine either, since it says that Eve was created "on a whim". Granted, the author was just trying to find something that rhymed with "him", but that's no excuse for sloppy doctrine.

The illustrations are sort of confusing. The only part we see of God is his "hands," but the hands look like the ends of bones. Just a U-shaped, two-pronged end on the arm, instead of fingers. It looks like the end of a femur bone! Not sure about that. The bony hands of God!! haha!

The creatures that are created- birds, animals, and fish- look like weird monstery blob things with eyes. Not sure what they are most of the time. Very confusing.

The cover is a collection of snapshots of the illustrations in the book, but it looks so busy that I can't focus on anything. It doesn't really appeal to me.

Each page has a wide border that looks like old manuscript paper, which is cool, but it's so wide that it takes up half the page, and minimizes the illustrations and text.

I think that with some better design and a good copy editor to correct the punctuation, this could be a cute book!
