The Bastard and the Heir
by Saxon James, Eden Finley
“When we’re like this, I own you. Never forget that.”
I got Darcy before and had thoughts on him because come on who didn't but this, yeah I didn't see that at all. How do you cope with what you know? How or I guess why?
Darcy is left with an impossible task especially after he meets his "brother" for the first time and things change for him in an instant to complicate matters worse.
Wren could care less about his "brothers" especially after the warm welcome he receives from them at their first meeting. Being abandoned by your bio dad is a tough situation but add on brothers that hate you and it's all the more reason that he is the way he is throughout the book.
Until a piece of paper changes it all...
Darcy & Wren together are definitely a opposites attract couple
CEO & Construction worker
Brother & not brother..at all well in the way that matters here
Control Freak & Laid Back..
I couldn't & didn't want to put this book down once I started so I didn't. I had to finish it and although tears were shed I did have the biggest smile on my face after.
The spice we get is minimal yet just right and yummy when we get it.
The emotions that this one pulled from me in Wrens POV, ugh.
"You think love is everything? Nah. You are everything."
We all want love and someone who gives it and everything they have in return.
I was so happy to see everyone from previous books, Elle my girl! I was super happy to have her pop in and we cannot forget Gabe & Remy but mostly Émile and Christian. I wanted to really not like Darcy in their book but I definitely wanted his story, and this far exceeded anything I could have hoped for.
BTW parting words..his mom is a C U Next Tuesday #sorrynotsorry
