This was really interesting, but, much like the first book, I wanted more aliens. I did like what this book actually was better than the first book, though. I really liked all the concepts and plot, but the characters aren't memorable and there was one point where I did start to get bored. I did really like how it all came together in the end and I am always amazed with the ideas this author comes up with for how humanity would react to this situation. It was also interesting reading this during COVID-19 with the way society changes right away, but no one knows what the long term future will look like.
