This is my favorite series and I thoroughly enjoyed as I was very happy to catch up with Ruth, Nelson, and the cast of characters.
It's not my favorite because I found it a bit too slow and the mystery took the backseat to the lockdown.
The lockdown descriptions were well done and brought back memories. I was moved, cried a bit but I missed the investigation part.
I don't think it would be the right book to start the series even if there's a lot of backstory.
