I forced myself to read this book because I had it on my shelf for ages. I used to enjoy reading the Scarpetta novels, but now they're predictable and boring. I couldn't find myself following the story in this, and kept distracting myself from reading it. Eventually I got through it, but I won't be reading another Scarpetta novel after this. The series should've ended a few books ago in my opinion.
