I Know This Much Is True
by Wally Lamb
Maybe it's just the right time of my life for me to read this, but I can't find anything negative to say about this book.
You circle the drain with Domenick Birdsey, this tragic 'hero', as he struggles to make sense of a life that keeps dispensing shit hands to him. It's a dark, atmospheric book that sucks you in; you burrow down in it, even though it's painful.
This was right up my alley.
