Other Birds
by Sarah Addison Allen
Cozy and beautifully written with gentle twistiness — a few real surprises along the way, which included two actual jaw-droppers for me and I’m usually frustrated by books deemed “twisty” because I figure it out too soon to be surprised. Speaks to the nuances in being and becoming while sharing space with others, for better or worse, including themes of grief, development into adulthood, love, and letting go. A very quick read that left me wanting to read everything else SAA has written. She’s a vibe.
