Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
5.0

Overview: Having seen this everywhere (and having enjoyed two other books by this author) I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone once more. I did not expect to like this book to be perfectly honest. I'm not a fan of music in general and I've never been interested in these types of documentaries about bands...but THIS BOOK! I went back and forth about whether to give it a 4.5 or 5 star, but on the end went with 5 because...well it bloody deserves it.

Good Points: The writing style was like nothing I've ever read before. Set out in an interview type style it worked so well. You got to read several character's POV in different paragraphs without having to wait till a new chapter like with most books. The middle and end part of the book was where I became really invested. The chemistry between the two main characters was sizzling and the little twist at the end was just...perfection.

Not so Good Points: Yes, there are a few negative points, but not enough to lower my rating. I can deal with it! Tbh I was never a big fan of Daisy herself. She came across to me as spoiled and a bit like she thought she was better than everyone else. However, she did grow on me. I thought it was very sad at the end and not in a good way really. The songs in the book were good, but having no interest in music myself I did find myself drifting off a bit when it came to the song writing.

If you're on the fence about this book my advice would be to push through to the middle and by then you'll be hooked!
