To preface: I know it gets better as the series goes & I’m sticking with it! Maybe it was overhyped but this just wasn’t it for me. I felt like I was reading the wrong book until the last 10%! Couldn’t figure out what it was that was so intriguing- It was so slow to me, just 400 pages of exposition where nothing happened. Also??? This is not even a little bit steamy. You all lied to me. Excited for the next one though!
