What a fun adventure! I enjoyed reading this one, although the writing had some problems. The author tends to "tell" instead of "show", especially in the beginning. Although the overall plot is fast-paced and wonderful, the details of the plot can get redundant; such as, they are attacked by the same monster twice, and they keep getting frozen over and over.
I love love love the little character of Clover! He's so sassy and quirky and hilarious! All the characters are interesting and endearing.
The writing is not amazingly original in the broad sense, but many of the details are quite imaginative and new.
I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series!
