The Woman in Black
by Susan Hill
Omg... I was NOT expecting that ending! How terrible!
However, the book was an easy-paced read. I enjoyed it, and wasn't as scary as my friend had previously mentioned. Maybe he's a bit of a wuss? Haha. I liked the first-person narrative but I reckon it could've been better in third person, so that the author could mention that the woman in black was lurking in places where Arthur couldn't see her. That would've made it more scary. But that's just my opinion. It was a fantastic read though, I'll have to admit. Even though it was a short book, Hill's descriptions were on point, and I felt as though I was within Eel Marsh as well. Which was creepy. So creepy. And dirty, yuk.
