libscote 's review for:
The War That Saved My Life
by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley
Ada is such a great, prickly, narrator. I love her journey of standing up for herself. She has a clubfoot, and her mother keeps her locked away in their one-room apartment. However, when World War II arrives, Ada and her younger brother Jamie are sent to the countryside to be safe from the bombing. This is where Ada learns more about herself and her family. An excellent read.
