As much as I love retellings, this one had almost too much from the original novel. The choices in placing Pride and Prejudice in modern high school debate teams was brilliant, and I thought the updates with most of the characters worked really well. The places where it fell short to me was when it relied too much on the original dialogue. It felt foreign in the mouths of teenagers, especially when so much else was updated successfully. Still, a cute story and focusing on speech and debate was awesome.
