I went into this book relatively blind. I didn't read the description of it, I picked it up based off the rave reviews it was getting in the two weeks since it had been released. So, based off the cover you'd think it's a circus/carnival book, which it is. What I didn't expect was ya romance meets supernatural carnival.
While I would have liked for more about the carnival and the acts and everyone's powers, it was still quite good. I really enjoyed the characters, the carnival theme was cool, and the plot and storytelling was fantastic. Hocking put together a wonderful story and I'm going to have to look into other books by her.
